The media covered it like a sideshow, and nobody was talking about the fact that player values were about to fluctuate across every major league in the world.

That bothered me.

One thing led to the next.

When a player goes down, the VMI measures the production loss in dollars. When a club re-signs or releases a player, the VMI tells you whether the math justified the decision.
